My husband treated me to a night in this hotel which was nice because we've had noisy upstairs neighbours lately so was looking forward to a night of peace and quiet. The hotel is very nice and the staff very friendly. My husband received an email the night before our stay saying that they would have to down grade our room because of another booking, think he booked a suite so we accepted the down grade as long as we had a riverside view and they offered us a couple of free drinks at the bar and early check-in which was fine. The rooms are ok disappointed there was no dressing table so had to sit on the floor or stand and dry my hair next to the long mirror. It did have an espresso pod machine which is always a nice touch from the instant stuff hotels usually offer, biscuits or shortbread would've been nice. Free bottled water. I did feel the room was quite small (Premier Inn rooms do seem bigger) it did have a table and 2 chairs next to the window so we could admire the view of the river. The floors are laminated which i really don't think is the best idea, we were hoping for a night away from noisy neighbours but could hear loudly the people above us clomping about, this went on after midnight no idea why they had to feel the need to move around so much in such a small room but none the less carpets would've stopped this (maybe this is why they provided slippers?) Breakfast was excellent, not just your usual fry up just a lot fancier lots of choice, staff were very helpful. This hotel would be lovely in the summer when you can sit out next to the river and have a drink, will certainly pop in on a nice day for a drink. …

I was so excited to see this new addition to Inverness Hotels. The hotel itself is stylish, with friendly and professional staff. The lounge and bar area are lovely and the food is great. Superb patio looking onto the river, which will be lovely in the summer. Car parking (£10 per night which is not at all bad for inverness). Great location for restaurants, shops and bars. I am a frequent visitor to Inverness. I have stayed at AC Marriot's elsewhere and the standard is great. Stayed once here and the room was baking hot - no matter how I tried, I could not get it lower than 24.5 which seems to be what it is set at. The fan was blowing out hot air. I reported on check-out and an apology was offered and it was made to sound like a one-off and for some reason the air con in this particular room was faulty. Sadly, my second stay, in another room; completely different location, was even worse. Could not get it below 25 degrees, despite hours of trying. If this is the temperature in March, I can only guess that summer months will be unbearable. A huge shame for an otherwise perfect hotel. The heat in the room would put me off staying again and I will not recommend this hotel for this reason. Opening the (otherwise completely sound proofed) window is an option, but the outside/traffic noise would prevent sleep. I see other reviews are stating the same thing, so not just me! I really hope the hotel management can make the necessary repairs, otherwise this hotel will not be a favourite for frequent visitors.…

This new hotel was clean and functional. Service at the front desk was friendly and efficient. When I asked if the room they were assigning me had a view, they offered to change it. I'd be happy to go back.

We stayed for 3 nights mid-February - the check-in was quick but friendly, the room was really well-appointed, with comfortable beds. We were room only so didn't use the restaurant but it all looked really nice. We had a room with a river view which was very nice and quiet. We'll definitely stay again, thank you.

I stayed at the AC Marriott Inverness three times on a trip to Scotland. Service was amazing and the room with a river view on the top floor was extremely comfortable with great wifi. Although next to Friar Bridge, the soundproofing was very effective and I heard nothing from outside my room. How I miss my daily view! I must give a special mention to Henrik. He was a true ambassador for this hotel. He was always friendly and helpful, professional and his mocktails were addictive!! I hope it will not be too long before my next visit!
