The surroundings are breathtaking. This boutique hotel is very cozy. We had an amazing view on the volcano from our balcony. Service was great. I ate a delicious sea bass with mango and ginger sauce, and for breakfast the most delicious homemade roasted muesli! Certainly...เพิ่มเติม
My husband and I took this trip for my birthday. This lodge was our first night in Costa Rica. Sadly we were supposed to get there around 11:30am and due to flight cancellation and delays (volcano ash) we did not arrive until about 6:30pm. Once...เพิ่มเติม

We were staying in Poas Volcano Lodge during green season and it was raining most of the evening and in the am. Hiking was enjoyable in the rain around the property. My friends decided to pay for the volcano hike and they couldn't see a thing. They had a blast otherwise, but the scenery was not worth the cost. It also rained at the waterfall gardens, bring raincoat, and umbrella. I found the waterfall gardens to be to touristy, and didn't care to see animals in cages. Reminds me more of a zoo.
Is this hotel air conditioned?

There was a space heater in our room though, if the need arose, but it didn't. Also a dehumidifier, which we did use. The temperature was lovely.
Hello all! If I were driving myself from SJO airport to this hotel, would I need 4WD or an SUV, or would a sedan work fine? Thanks :)

"The Toucanet room was beautiful and had its one private bathroom."
