We stayed here for a week in February 2023. We volunteered at the dog sanctuary next door (mostly taking dogs for a walk), did Muay Thai for the first time at a great local place and went to the beach. It was a great base and Marko and his partner could not have been more helpful. They helped us organise transport and even food to get delivered. There’s no food at the hotel and although we hired mopeds one day we mostly walked around. It’s kind of between a hotel and hostel feel. There’s a kitchen/bar area with free help yourself coffee and tea and you can sit in the cabanas in the morning and have some breakfast if you buy yourself from 7-11 and local fruit vendors. If you love nature and relax this is the PLACE. Lovely staff, nice clean rooms and a wonderful pool for relaxing when the Thai heat hit. 5 STARS hand down Plus so near do some secluded beaches, what a time we had 👍👍👍
My wife and I spent 3 nights at Samui Hills. We enjoyed the location, further away from the tourist crowded areas. It all started with a wonderful welcome by Marco (and his wife). Marco gave us plenty of very useful advice about the not to be missed highlights of the island and showed us to our room. The room is very much as described on the Agoda / Booking sites. It is clean and comfy (furniture is relatively basic) with the kind of bedding we like (a hard mattress - quite frequent in Thailand). The en-suite bathroom is appreciated, esp. after a long day of exploration (strong water pressure). Swimming pool on site; breakfast, lunch, dinner possible. Only slight negative for us was the WiFi connection which was not good during our stay. A minor thing after all, given the excellent value provided by Samui Hills. Overall, an excellent stay for us who were seeking to "stay away from the crowds" . HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.…
