We had a wonderful dinner at Osteria Novecento (near Todi) and a very nice cab (2011 Colle delle Querce) that was recommended by Monia. With it being produced locally, we were not familiar with it. The next day we called the Colle delle Querce Agriturismo and talked with Carlo Ferrari. He was so kind and he honored our request to come out for a visit. He was the ultimate host and greeted us so warmly and provided a tour of the property and grounds. He and his wife Ellen own and operate the agriturismo. The location is a short distance from Todi and there is a totally unobstructed beautiful view of Todi from anywhere on the property. There are 3 options for housing with a stone cottage and 2 studios with architectural interest and ambiance. This remote locale is surrounded by nature, vineyards, orchards, views, and swimming pool. So very relaxing. Cooks can be recommended to come in if desired, and there are location options for indoor or outdoor meals and group gatherings. Carlo produces ~ 4,000 bottles of wine a year and it is distributed locally. We enjoyed the wine so much we purchased some to bring back. While we did not stay at this property, I felt compelled to share our tour experience for consideration and awareness.…
It is already some years that i spend some time in Colle delle Querce in Todi, the place is beautiful, the view is fantastic. The "agriturismo" is just on the hill in front of Todi in the middle of nature, people can see the Todi and the Tevere river. The owner is very friendly, it is like to be at home even because guests can take vegetables and fruits from the garden as much as they want. Nearby, in the city of Todi is full of medium/small restaurants with the traditional cooking from the Umbria region. I would recommend it to everybody who looks a nice place to relax ans be in contact with nature.
