Janine et Henri sont des hôtes parfaits. Nous avons été accueilli avec gentillesse et attention, c'est tellement rare d'être traité de la sorte qu'il faut le souligner. Chalet très propre et très confortable, petit déjeuner digne d'un grand établissement, sourire et gentillesse. Une parenthèses courte mais inoubliable, pour notre groupe de randonneurs. Merci 🙏

Si vous vous aventurez au pied des balcons du Vercors, n'hésitez pas à vous arrêter passer la nuit chez Henri et Janine: leur hospitalité est sans pareil et leur maison un havre de paix. Leur accueil chaleureux et leur générosité sont sans pareil. Que vous soyez cyclistes, randonneurs ou simples flâneurs, en famille, entre amis ou en solo, seul conseil: foncez! Les chambres sont décorées avec goût, le jardin est splendide, les hôtes sont de réels puits de science et que dire des gâteaux de Janine... Délicieux! Le petit déjeuner est à l'image des hôtes: généreux... Ils ont su faire de ce week-end un très bon moment: une chose est certaine, nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

Such a lovely couple. A snug retreat in a spectacular position, yet so uncommercialised an area. We were made welcome with tea, the bedroom was entirely independent, though within the house, with its own separate parking and very comfortable. Janine was a fund of information about the best walks, and even lent us a map. Wonderful homemade breakfasts, too. The hosts were kindness itself. This B&B is a treasure.

An amazing home designed by the owner. Sitting on a hillside overlooking mountains and green fields, so peaceful. The room (Chambre Bleu) was outstanding and impeccably designed and fitted with every need catered for. It was like walking into a Home magazine page but so welcoming and comfortable. The hosts were truly wonderful and we became friends overnight. The food was unbelievable good and nearly all was home made. The breakfast had home made (that morning!) croissant, bread, Irish Scones, cake, Baked Custard, yoghurt, fresh fruit and dozens of preserves - and we declined the off of ham, eggs and cheese!! Will definitely be going back for a longer stay and to enjoy the walking and scenery. Unfortunately weather not good enough for pool although garden is a delight as well.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Clos de la Sauvagine (on the third night we were joined by by brother and his girlfriend). I absolutely loved this slice of paradise on our way to the French Alps. First, the location. The photos on the website really can't do it justice. It is truly spectacular and completely unspoilt. The local villages are like something from a fairytale. On a sunny day, the view of the imposing mountains from the house are just breathtaking. Second, the hosts. Janine and Henri are wonderful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they went over and above what I would ever expect. They welcomed us with open arms and a welcome drink. My husband's bike got damaged en route from Ireland and they went to extremes to try and help us. We were participating in the Alpe d'Huez triathlon a few days later. Janine contacted nearly every bike shop in the region and managed to track down a shop near Alpe d'Huez that stocked the same model of bike and a spare part. She was amazing during a stressful time! They are such a warm, friendly, interesting and fun couple with a great sense of humour. We loved their company and very much enjoyed the conversations over dinner. Thirdly, the food. Janine is a fantastic cook. Everything is homemade and the ingredients are all fresh and local. Janine worked so hard providing us with excellent homemade food with lots of ingredients sourced from the garden. Janine and Henri cooked for us on our first and last nights for a very reasonable price. On the second night they recommended a beautiful local restaurant. Fourthly, the house and gardens. The rooms are extremely comfortable with terraces to take in the views. The pool was also a lovely treat. The house is quirky and cosy. The gardens are dreamy. We've stayed in a lot of great hotels and b&bs in France but this beats them all. I can't imagine us going back to the area without visiting again. I can't recommend it highly enough. Even if it's not directly on your route, it's worth going out of your way to visit this slice of heaven.…
