Set in a durian orchard (hence the name) with many other tropical plantings, this intimate resort consists of 9 bungalows in modern cement and traditional wood. The main room boasts a 4-poster comfortable bed and spacious balcony overlooking part of the grounds and canal, while the enormous bathroom is separated so that its natural ventilation would not allow mosquitoes into the bedroom. There is an additional sitting area at ground level beneath the bedroom. The well-maintained grounds are sufficiently expansive that one can lay out a jogging course, and there is also a 20-meter pool plus children's pool near the restaurant. The restaurant has a limited menu, given the small number of guests, but the cooking is excellent home-style Thai. The Pala-U section of Kaeng Krachen National Park is about 10 km away. From the entrance (national park entry fees apply) a short drive brings you to the trailhead, from which you are currently allowed to hike up the stream to the 5th cascade. I highly recommend this lodge as a tasteful and serene setting in which to rest from more vigorous time in Kaeng Krachen National Park. Durian aficionados might especially enjoy this place during the end of dry season (fruit are reserved for guests).

Stayed for two nights whilst visiting Pal La U waterfalls and The National Park. Rooms were amazing. Basically a house/ lodge to yourself. A central staircase takes you up to the living quarters. Central bench seating with dining table, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. To the left takes you through gorgeous double wooden doors to a huge bathroom with huge jacuzzi bath and shower. Loads of hot water! To the right is the bedroom with extremely comfortable bed and linens/pillows surrounded by mosquito netting. Air Conditioning and good WIFI. Room leads onto a spacious balcony with table and chairs overlooking the lovely gardens and lake. I believe there are 10 of these lodges dotted around the grounds - all similar size. Below the rooms you have a further wooden seating area and swing seating. There is a swimming pool by the reception area/restaurant. Rooms are within the many fruit trees hense “Orchard” name. Breakfast and evening meals at the restaurant were tasty with ‘western’ options. Staff went above and beyond when we asked for a local taxi to the waterfalls and National Park by taking us personally (for a fee) and helping with purchasing tickets at both entrances. At approx £50.00 per night for the lodges and breakfast, they were very good value and reasonable price evening meals. Would highly recommend coming here if you are in the area.
