We visited Queenstown over New Years, so the town was very full, and one night we had no choice but to book a room in this hotel. We got a small suite with a pull-out couch for our kids, so the room was functional and...เพิ่มเติม
We went with the budget option as we were planning to spend minimal time at our room but still expected a bit more from a "Hotel". The rooms were more like a backpacker style room. Average at best but didn't feel quite like a hotel...เพิ่มเติม
We traveled to Queenstown, New Zealand for a few days over New Years. The hotel is beautiful and has a lovely view of the lake. We arrived from Auckland at 10am and was immediately told that their check in time was 2pm and our room...เพิ่มเติม
This place was gorgeous...you pay a little more for a lake facing room but it is incredibly worth it. Was here for a wedding, the staff were incredibly helpful and happy to upgrade us when possible. The beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, wifi extremely...เพิ่มเติม

Ask the hotel directly
JANLUEY. Rydges Management. I'm concerned about the below response from Rydges Management.
Having been stuck in this lift myself, with non functioning emergency button.
At the time, we were also concerned about 11 people being an issue, we actually checked the weight limits before entering (and 30 minutes stuck there to double check..). Unless the manufacturer's limits are incorrect, I suggest you have the safety plaque inside the lift updated. Or your attitude, adjusted.
I hope that incidents like this and this forum can help Rydges to perform better I the future. Rather than this type of, 'tit for tat' response to your customers concerns.

I appreciate your feedback, On behalf of all of the team here at Rydges Queenstown we do apologise for the lift incident and we were delighted to hear all guests were fine, Unfortunately our lifts are not designed to hold 11 persons which resulted in the overloaded carriage shutting down, our maintenance team and lift contractors are investigating the emergency button as the incident was a concern.

We have a reunion in March 2017 at Rydges Lakeland Resort in Queenstown. I understand it is under renovation. Can you tell me how extensive the renovation is and when expect it to be completely finished? Thank you.
