We stayed there in order to visit Pun Pun farm but it turned out we all loved Earth Home better and extended our stay for another day. P’Thongbai and her family with staff made us feel like home. They were all very open to share their organic farming journey and heart felt life experiences of how they turned away from their previous city lives to the way of living and working now. Very inspiring. It felt very healing and wholesome to stay in an earth home like theirs.
My husband was on wheelchair. They made every efforts to make his stay easy and smooth.
Our 3-year old son loved playing almost everywhere and encounters of chicken, sheep and other creatures onsite. We felt safe for him to venture out and roam around by himself, knowing there is always someone keeping an eye on him. We would not have felt same in the city. We hope we could live in a place like Earth Home and our son could grow up in there, loving, respecting and knowing how to take care of nature and be with others with kind and open heart.
We also much enjoyed offering food to monks who came by 6am every morning. It felt sacred.
The rooms are beautifully and simply designed. We loved sleeping in the soothing sounds at night of the insects from the field. No AC but fans - it's comfy. No hot water for shower. But none of these bothered us.
The room with a queen size and a twin bed that are at same height can be put together is great for a family. We loved it as our little slept with us - it felt very spacious. The bed is Thai style - meaning it's not as soft as those in the US, but it did not bother us.
