Room was spacious and clean, we had a family room. But, it does NOT have a sofa bed, as mentioned on their website and the booking apps. It's like a little apartment and it has a sofa, that does not fold out.
I had checked before hand that it was a sofa bed and was told it would be fine for someone to sleep on, but it wasn't. Apart from this it was a good stay. Location is great just across from the night market and the rooftop pool was clean.
We had a very nice stay here for 3 nights before moving on to Luang Prabang.
The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of plenty of sights and places to eat and drink. It is also a short walk to the night market which was fun to visit.
The hotel is clean and new, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The room itself was large and well-appointed. The public areas are well maintained, and the small fitness room was a nice addition that we took advantage of.
Two minor things to point out. First of all, our room was advertised on booking.com and trip.com as a family room with a king-size bed and sofa bed. We assumed it would be fine for our family of two adults and a seven-year-old. The aforementioned sofa bed is not a sofa bed by our definition (something that pulls out into an actual bed), it was just a sofa. Now, with this covered by a bed sheet and duvet, our boy was perfectly happy to sleep on this and was comfortable doing so. So we declined the offer of an additional bed at an additional cost (although discounted due to the misunderstanding in email communication with the management).
As I say, not a big deal for us, but big families may appreciate the clarification.
Second point, the pool upstairs is a lovely place to hang out but the pool itself was bloody freezing cold!!! Again, didn't phase our son but I couldn't stand in it for more than a couple of minutes.
Overall, recommend this as a base to explore Vientiane.
Ga lekker buiten zitten. Personeel is zeer behulpzaam.
