If you're dreaming of a staycation in a farm, to escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy metropolis where you want to find your true self and have a soul searching as a time-off with Mother Nature in solitude with God, Adlawon Vacation Farm is the perfect place to be. Located in the mountainous Barangay Adlaon in the City of Cebu, this is a break time for thyself without the need of traveling far since you're still in the City. The whole farm is now fully developed than the first visit I had last year before the pandemic. If you're reading this review and you're having a bad day, I invite you to take a moment to just close your eyes in a few seconds and imagine... just imagine an image of the land located in the mountain with its vastness beyond boundaries filled with mighty trees in an enchanting forest all around you. Then try to visualize yourself surrounded with various species of plants along the concrete pathways where you walk on. How about the colorful flowers blossoming in the garden, does it give you the feeling of joy? Can you see and feel it from within? From the horizon, in a bright sunny day after God waters the earth, can you picture out the panoramic view of the majestic mountain beneath the bluest sky? Can you hear the chirping of the birds giving you sweet melodies? If you did, open your eyes. How do you feel now? Isn't it amazing? That's what I've personally experienced here. As a carnivorous person in my late 40's, it's healthy to eat organic food, fresh fruits and vegetables newly harvested from the farm in Kusina de Luche. Throughout my stay, for the first time I had a Crispy Organic Fried Veggie of the Day, Dragon Fruit Smoothie, Pineapple Lycee Cooler, Ice Tea with Apple and Lemon, Creamy Pumpkin Soup, Homemade Sherbet Guyabano (Soursop) Ice Cream, Cassava Cabcab with latik (syrupy caramelized coconut cream used as a dessert sauce) and turmeric & ginger vinegar together with lean pork barbecue and fried chicken. I love it so much and want to stay here for good. I would like to give a shout out to the staff in delivering great customer service~ Mae Gallares, Jenie Codeniera and Jessa Gemino with the help of Recel Dionson. The newly opened RESURRECTION CHAPEL dedicated to the Resurrected Christ on Easter Sunday after three days He died on the cross to redeem the world is the structure I truly appreciate the most. I had my prayers of Thanksgiving with a lighted candle on the altar for all the enormous blessings showered upon me and my family as I recite the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy at the Greatest Hour of Mercy at 3PM. Aside from the bamboo hut called PAYAG, I stayed overnight in a spacious-air conditioned-studio room complete with two double beds, a pull out bed, LED Cable TV, personal refrigerator, couch with throw pillows, ceiling fan, electric kettle with coffee condiments, hotel soaps & toiletries, hair dryer, and hot & cold rain shower. It's like you're staying in luxury hotels in the metropolitan Cebu. …

Mother Nature's Sanctuary

Are you stressed out and feed up where you wish to have a one of a kind adventure surrounded by fresh green nature as your very own personal sanctuary even for a short length of time away from the hustle bustle of the City life? Do you like to be away from your routinary office works in meeting deadlines where you have to dive into the sea of people's faces rushing to commute and beat the traffic every single day during rush hour? I recommend Adlawan Vacation Farm of Atty Danilo Ortiz and Dra Melinda "Peluche" Ortiz which opened to the public since October 16, 2018. It's definitely the answer just within the City of Cebu located in the uphill barangay of Adlaon. A 15 hectares of lush plantation, mahogany forest, garden with different varieties of plants & flowers, strong & mighty trees with swings on its branches and the panoramic view of nature overlooking the uphill forest is definitely a great treat for thyself. They also have a campsite & a picnic area with a bonfire at night under the starry, starry sky with the one you love. Isn't it romantic? With its laid back atmosphere, you could feel that time stood still. Although you're just in the City with its slow pace, you don't even remember time nor your loads of work, especially when you hear the birds chirping, lion bunnies hopping around the area, black sheep and goats eating the grass and the therapeutic calming sound of the river water as you swing in the trees. I'll definitely go back to this beautiful, peaceful and serene sanctuary with my family to experience the bonfire under the starry starry night with the hotdog on stick all night long sharing tales of once upon a time. …
