We chose this B&B for location on a biking trip along the Ohio-Erie Canal towpath trail (a great trail that now runs from Cleveland to Zoarville, OH) . It's about 1 1/2 miles from the towpath and Carol, who also bicycles, gave us clear directions for avoiding traffic to get to her home. "Home" is the right word. This is not an elegant B&B with polished antiques in every corner. It's a big, historic home just a stone's throw from the Perkins Mansion, home of the founder of Akron. Carol's parents started a B&B in the family home, and since their deaths she is operating it. It hasn't been particularly gussied up to be a B&B, but our bedroom was comfortable, Carol was friendly and helpful and knowledgable about the area, there was no problem sharing the bathroom with guests from one other room (there are 4 bedrooms and 2 baths for the B&B), and breakfast was plentiful and satisfying. It's quite close to Stan Hywatt, the Sieberling family mansion, the great little Akron Zoo, the art museum, Children's Hospital, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Children's Hospital, and other Akron locations.…
