We really enjoyed out stay at baan rim lay. It was quiet due to low season and the owners were good about lowering the price. Pros: big fridge, they sweep and clean your room daily, oceanfront! Will definitely return to this guesthouse in the future.
The other reviews say it all. Beautiful location right on the water. Ms. Pong is incredibly kind. Don't expect five star with amenities: it's her and her husbands small operation. Kind people running a solid hotel. Location was great too: out of the way enough...เพิ่มเติม
Loved every minute of our stay at Baan Rim Lay. We had a bungalow right on the beach front. It was very spacious and clean. Lovely comfortable bed. Massive fridge too 😁.

Stayed at Baan Rim Lay for 4 nights as a solo traveller. Good location on the beach easy walking distance to restaurants and 7/11. Area very quiet in low season but it was nice to have some relaxing time but I did get very bored...เพิ่มเติม

I went to PHi PHI 16 years ago and i have read so many reviews saying that it has changed. So you would totally recommend Ko Lanta for a short beach visit??

Phi Phi is just a party island. Unless you stay on one of the far sides of the island (which can be reached via long tail boat easily), you will hear thumping music all night. It's also quite expensive by Thai standards. There isn't anything authentic about phi phi, whereas Lanta is far more quiet and local while still having easy access to things tourists need. We had the beaches of Lanta practically to ourselves when we were there in July.
