The property is well maintained and the staff very helpful, with the exception of the condescending owner/manager. The sites are not level and the owner has no interest in rectifying the situation. We were there last summer with our 40’ Class A RV and reserved and paid rent in advance for the entire 2023 season. We were assured that our new site would be level when we returned. We arrived in April 2023 and checked with the office before the park was officially opened and no work had been done. When we asked for assistance in getting the site usable, the owner told us it wouldn’t happen and we would receive a refund. I would not recommend this park to any big rig RV owner. You most likely will not be able to level without having wheels off the ground.
Very tight street corners. Obstacles on the corners such as large rocks and rock walls. Very difficult maneuvering getting into your space, would be almost impossible without a spotter. Watch for low hanging tree branches in some spaces. Isn't really a "resort" in my definition of a resort. Virtually no amenities. They do have an outdoor pavilion with a few social activities. Located close to a hospital in the landing pattern of at least two medivac helicopters. They fly a lot. If you have a smaller rig, maneuvering probably wouldn't be so challenging. This park is mostly park models. My personal opinion is it will eventually become a park model community with maybe just a few RV spots. It is very quite and conveniently located to the minimal shopping Show Low has to offer. Felt safe. As mentioned by others, this park is still a work in progress with may sites yet to be developed so you can expect continuing construction activity. I think $700/month plus electricity is too much for what you get here.
Hi, Jim. Thank you for your stay here at Woodfield this year, we definitely enjoyed having you and appreciate everything you added to the community. The paved roads and landscape are designed to keep traffic moving as slow as possible to ensure guests remain feeling safe and relaxed. Woodfield does always offers assistance to our guests for parking their RV upon arrival as well as departure. We have focused our efforts to create a beautiful and peaceful park with a feel of the deep forest and emphasis on community relationships between the guests and residents. I hope you enjoyed building those relationships this summer and also hope they thrive for years to come. Although the park model homes are ever so popular and that part of the community is growing quickly, we will continue to have nice RV spots featuring the tall pines and natural landscaping available to our always welcome and appreciated RV guests. The hospital is within just one mile and offers state of the art facilities.
We have been at Woodfield RV in our RV for 3 months and love it! More room between spaces than most RV Parks. 55+ age requirement, quiet, friendly people. Not a campground but a seasonal park. Short term stays are allowed, so it is a great stopping off place to stay and see the White Mountains. Park Model Cabins are also sold at Woodfield, so there is a mix of RVs and Park Models. Only 2 seasons old and growing fast!
There is a little traffic noise from White Mountain Blvd, but not enough to bother us. The convenience to shopping and nearby attractions is nice.The Pine and Juniper trees give the area a beautiful mountain feel. Paved roads, underground utilities, good fast WiFi. We’ll be back next year for sure.
I'm basing my 3 star rating on the park itself but the space we were in (#18) I give 1 star.
The park overall is nice (although spots are very close together) but they are expanding into an area that should not be made into RV spots. This new future area backs onto a view of a giant warehouse and other buildings that run the entire length of this soon to be developed new area. We were in spot #18. The trees were hardly cut back and we were unable to open our patio awning all the way out. The spot had gravel thrown on it only enough to cover the dirt where the coach would be located. The rest was left with dirt and broken tree branches and just not tidy. It was raining when we were there and the part that had no gravel (where the car was parked) turned into mud. The other spots in the park seemed to be very tidy with proper trimmed tree branches and the lot completely covered with gravel. #18 and the few others that were started on this new area seemed to be hastily thrown together in order to get more RVs to stay there. I believe one or two of the few other occupied spots there were where construction workers were staying in their RVs.
The future street where they are starting construction of the new RV sites, started two spots down from ours. It was only open to the construction crews and their big equipment. The dumpsters for this end of the park were located right there also (another great view). Big 18 wheeler trucks started loading their goods very early in the morning from the warehouse loading docks that were in back of us. Just a chain link fence stood between the back of our coach this warehouse (we were on a slight hill above it). The back up beeping noise of these trucks early in the morning was not the peaceful sounds we expected from a park located in the woods.
On a positive note, the owners helped us get into this tight spot with our 40 foot coach. They also refunded us half of one night's stay when we left after the second day of our three day reservation.
I just think they should wait until this new area is done before trying to put RVs here. Even after it is done I think this area should have a different rate than what they are charging for the rest of their park spots which are so much nicer. We have been to many RV parks that have different rates for different sections. Usually the cheapest rate is for the less desirable spots (which to me this new section qualifies for).
Thank you for staying with us here at Woodfield. Although we do have return guests who specifically request 18, it could be considered a less desirable site because of the neighboring commercial site. I apologize for any noise the neighbors may have caused, the City of Show Low has been contacted to ensure their noise ordinance is being enforced. I'm sorry you didn't take us up on our offer to move you to one of our other sites. We do aim to ensure all of our guests enjoy their stay with us. I appreciate your feedback and will consider your recommendations for reducing our standard rate for this site. We hope to you see you again here at Woodfield.
A new RV community in Show Low AZ. Up in the pines and close to shopping, restaurants and hospital. RV park is still in the process of developing more RV spaces. They also sell park models. You rent or lease your space. Park opened for 6 months. No community center as of this date, they do have organized get togethers. Owners are very nice and accommodating. Stayed there 2 months in a motorhome. Highly recommend.
