Nice location. Very near many shops, restaurants and night markets. Check in was smooth, rooms are large and spacious. All amenities as if in a 5 star hotel, but compact. The gym is very small. Nothing much. They do have space constraints. The hotel is not noticeable from outside. You wouldn’t expect it as I’ve described, only to come to view as you enter. Breakfast good enough. Very clean and well maintained.
The hotel is new and very clean. The beds are comfy, and the room is of a good size. Lovely en suite shower and a toilet with a soft close lid! There was a bath on the balcony with a shower which we didn't use. The air-conditioning worked well. Clean towels every day. Two waters were provided free of charge daily, as well as a banana! There is a nice pool with plenty of chairs as well as two comfy double sun beds. You can get breakfast here but we didn't bother. Ao nang is about 25 mins by car which is ok for trips to the Phi Phi islands and Railay beach. There is a market opposite where you can get an excellent pad thai for 80bhat. There are plenty of restaurants and bars close by within walking distance as well as many places to rent bikes and scooters. Really nice place to spend a few nights and excellent value for money
The hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. One of the highlights was the complimentary tea, coffee, and fresh bananas available all day – such a thoughtful touch that made relaxing even more enjoyable. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-equipped, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. The location is also great, close to local attractions and restaurants. Parking space is available.
We stayed here for two nights and thought it was a fantastic hotel. Very clean and a very cool vibe! The staff were lovely, the rooms were big and lovely little touches like complimentary tea, coffee, bananas all day. The bed was also huge and so comfy! Great location with night markets, restaurants, shops within a 1 min walk. Pool area was nice, sadly doesn’t get any sun but was still a nice area to relax. Breakfast was buffet style and fresh with plenty of choice. I would stay again and definitely recommend this hotel.
We stayed at this hotel in July, and to call it an awful experience would be an understatement. I'm not typically one to write reviews, but the disastrous nature of our stay demands this candid critique.
After two nights here (in two separate rooms and four different beds), we discovered we were infested with bed bugs. Upon realizing this, we approached the front desk, only to be met with rude and unhelpful staff. Although we were scheduled to stay for another two nights, we couldn't bear the thought of returning to those repulsive rooms.
After waiting over three hours to speak with management, we were dismissed by the hotel manager, who claimed to be "in a meeting." We later found out that this "meeting" was actually a boozy lunch at the hotel's restaurant (a lovely Italian place, by the way). When we finally confronted the manager directly, she assured us we would receive a full refund for our dreadful stay at Blu Monkey. However, we have yet to receive any refund or response to our follow-up emails (we also never received a confirmation email when booking).
If you have any sense, do NOT stay here. The behavior of this hotel is completely unacceptable, and we have never been more disappointed.
