Courtyard's can occasionally be a roll of the dice - the older properties are a bit battle weary or the updates have made a real difference.

As for Muir Woods, while there isn't a "Tour" from the Courtyard, there are shuttles from car parks to Muir Woods provided by Marin Transit, for time tables and schedule the Route Number is 66. A typical fare is $5 each way.
