Booked this place because of the great reviews here - thanks again Tripadvisor for this amazing find.
We loved our one night stop here and wished we could spend more time here chilling with the sea lions. We loved the 4-6pm happy hour (tip: they...เพิ่มเติม
The Lost Whale Inn was our home base for our first visit to the Redwoods. There couldn't have possibly been a better choice. What a spot!
For exploring the Redwoods, this is a great location. Redwoods National and State Parks are just to the north,...เพิ่มเติม
My husband and I decided to go on a spontaneous trip to the west coast to explore Seattle down to the Redwoods. We made a tentative plan to drive from Portland to Trinidad and stay at Lost Whale for one night then drive back the...เพิ่มเติม
Wonderful place to stay near Redwood National Park. Beautiful ocean view from our room. Woke up to the sound of sea lions. Amazing included dinner and breakfast. Very kind staff took care of all our needs and then some.
We stayed at the Lost Whale Inn in mid March, myself, my husband, and our 20 year old son. The Beluga Whale room was so perfect, with a loft and a queen size bed for our son. Rarely when we travel together does he get...เพิ่มเติม
I believe that all rooms are non smoking. You can smoke outside.
I was looking at a site that discussed the average weather there and it looks like the average high there is around mid-high 60's for the summer months...does that sound correct? My husband would love this and I am really trying to surprise him. He prefers it to be cooler. I still like to hike and walk the beaches so we are trying to find a happy medium. Most importantly we like to see animals. Any suggestions for the best time of year to come?

We visited in mid-September and the weather was great. Highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's. It felt sooo good - coming from HOT and humid Louisiana! We had lots of sun, but they were expecting a couple days of rain when we left. Obviously that is something you just can't anticipate too far in advance. It seems like September is the best time to visit - but honestly, I would touch base with some of the locals there. Brian at the Lost Whale Inn (or probably anyone there) could tell you for sure. I believe their "rainy season" begins in November and lasts several months? But I'm not completely sure about that. I would definitely check with some of the people and business owners that live there. During our September visit, we saw lots of elk, some whales, some seals, sea lions, neat birds etc. There were many pretty flowers in bloom as well.
