We stayed with Majeed and Mufassa for 2 months in total, and we have had the most amazing time with them. We’ve come back to see them 3 times over the last 3 months, honestly have made friends for life. If you want to get down with the locals, and have the best time ever in the process then this is the place for you. 2 min walk from the beach and restaurants. They’re customer service is absolutely unbelievable, nothing is too much trouble and they give you loads of advice of how much you should be paying for food/drinks/tuks tuks/everything. We spent lots of time with Majeed’s family and went to his regularly for lunch, where we felt super welcome. Make sure you go with Majeed on tuk tuk safari, and use his tuk tuk services - best price in arugam bay. And don’t miss a sunset at Elephant Rock with Mufassa. Rooms are fine but it’s all about the customer service. We have seen lots of Sri Lanka but nobody has looked after us like Majeed and Mufassa. Amazing people…
