Three generations worth of my family have been going to Joe's Lodge every summer, starting way back in 1990. Recently, we spent our first winter weekend there, in the huge reunion lodge cabin for some ice fishing and time with friends. We always have a great experience at this resort, it is the perfect size, not too big, not too small. You can boat to different lakes like Cass and Wolf via the Mississippi River, and find lots of places to hangout, fish, or stop and get something to eat/drink. Most cabins at Joe's are right on the lake, on flat shoreline, which isn't always the case at other places in the area that we have seen. The old cabins are all gone, replaced by nice modern ones. The owners have done a great job of updating other things, such as adding some nice inflatable water toys. I highly recommend Joe's Lodge! Adam and Kelley will take care of you.…

Our family of 5 adults stayed here for several days in early June. The cabin was really more of a lake house - only a couple of years old, very clean and modern. Three bedrooms and two baths, right next to the boat harbor. They have some older, smaller cabins, too, but even those were very nice, and many are right next to the lake. We rented a fishing boat as well. Adam was very helpful in showing us the lake. There’s lots to do here besides fishing, including paddle boarding, kayaking, and other water toys; a playground for smaller kids; tennis courts; etc. If you need to go into town for anything, the drive into Bemidji is 15 minutes or less. We’re already thinking of going in the fall, too.

- Friendly and helpful staff. - Beautiful location on lake. - Kayaks, boats, paddle boards, etc., available - Basic housekeeping cabins - With RVs and cabins, a little crowded and sometimes noisy - Convenient location to Benidji, Cass Lake, and Walker - Nice place for families, although a bit over-priced - We probably will stay someplace else on future trips to the area

Cabins are clean and equipped with kitchenware. Boats and pontoons are available to rent. Weber type grills are also available for grilling. Our cabin slept 4 people and had one bathroom. Other sizes are available. Snow Goose Gift Shop at the Office. The office didn't open until 9 a.m. - so rent the boat the night before if you wish to head out fishing in the early morning. Our cabin was newly remodeled with Dish T.V. and was right next to the water. Our guests were all pleased with the cabin. The only negative was that check- out time is 9 a.m. on a Saturday~~~we thought it was 11:00 and were out by 10:45~~~Oops! Wi-Fi was difficult to use with the metal roof on the cabin. It was an all around pleasant experience.
