GREAT LITTLE HIDE AWAY!!! We have started staying here when we visit our kids who just moved to the area. Dave’s is located across the street from Casey’s and convenient to several excellent small town restaurants. In season, the pool is very nice, always clean and they even have some toys for the kids to play with. The fire pit area is a great place to hang out, have some drinks and enjoy cooler nights.
The rooms we’ve stayed in have a refrigerator and microwave, tv and all the necessities to sleep comfortably. Coffee makings were in each of the rooms as well.
While it’s not fancy, Dave’s is a wonderful little place to stay and support the community of small businesses. Excellent restaurants around for breakfast, lunch and dinner without all the crazy lake festivities and partying. There’s also putt-putt, shopping and family fun less than a 10 minute drive away as well. Golf at Old Kinderhook, a beautiful course, is less than a 10 minute drive, too!
Friends, I’m here to tell ya,,, you can’t go wrong with Dave’s Hideaway!!

The room was very clean, there were more amenities than I expected for the price, and the owners were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the TV worked fine, the room had a good-sized refrigerator w/freezer, coffee maker and fan. Not only that, they had chairs and a table inside and chairs with a table and ashtray outside. I wish we'd had more time on our trip--we would have stayed longer and enjoyed their lovely pool.

My husband and I decided to take a last minute road trip and ended up at Dave's Hidaway. When we checked in, we personally got to meet Dave, the owner. He was very friendly and gave us the low down on the area since we had never been there before. We had a nice, spacious room that was clean and comfortable and the nightly price was reasonable. They have a nice outdoor pool area along with a fire pit area for guests to enjoy. I recommend this American owned business and we will stay there again in the future if in the area. If your not looking for all the fancy amenities, this place is recommended.

We were in town visiting family. We arrived about 11pm and the hosts were very nice. Our room was clean and had new carpet and paint. Nice place to stay at a good price. They are in the process of renovating the rooms. I would stay again when in the area.

The owners were in the midst of renovating when we stayed. The place is very clean, the staff was very nice, and the location was awesome--right by a coffee shop :). Outside and in-room decor are dated, but nothing that affected our stay. It was absolutely wonderful, especially for the price :)
