I definitely do not recommend booking in this hotel. Despite in advance paid booking of 3 rooms in this hotel, there was no room for us when we arrived. The hotel service and manager did not accept our explanations and confirmed reservation and finally we had to look for another accomodation. It was not so easy because of Christmas time in Ethiopia. When we complained services and trying to get our money back, the hotel attested untruth and says that we did not arrived to the hotel on the day of booking. This is not true and we currently complain and as evidence we presented a movie made before entrance at the reception desk of the Bluenile guest house on the day of planned accommodation.
never go there the are not save and 4 x times more expensive then advertising online big same and try to intimidate us very heavy and we ware afraid the team is not good and give rtes industrie a bad image
Out of all the places ive stayed in over the course of a month. None have came close to the blue nile guesthouse. Its definetly the nicest room I've had in Ethiopia. The only room where i would walk barefoot in thats a fact.. Also one of the only hot showers ive had in ethiopia and really hot and lasts.. The staff is amazing and even had my laundry done free of charge.. highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.. Great experience!
Best hotel and staff ever. Management was exceptional. Coffeebean(owner's daughter) and Daniel were waiting on us hand and foot. Our guiide Alye (alex) was very knowledgable abot the "eleven hidden churches" and even came to see us off at the airport on his day off . Watching the vendors go to the marketplace with their animals and carrying their wares on their heads was beautiful to see. The breath taking veiws from the balconies...the cafe...the beautiful rooms. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back. They treat you like family. Good people...great place. Sincerely, Fostina Hardin
Bluenile Guest House is highly recommended to stay when you are travelling to Lalibella. The whole crew there is doing their best to guarantee their guests a nice and pleasant stay. The host, Yayehyira, was picking us up from the airport and showed us some really nice places in Lalibela. He showed us a real traditional place where you get a good insight into the local dancing culture and where you have a good honey wine to taste :) Also he showed us good local restaurants, where you can eat delicious local food :) Yayehyira provided us a really good guide, who showed us the Lalibela churches and who is very competent. We give Bluenile Guest House the best recommendations. Clean and nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff and the service you get there is more than we expected it :)
