Of all the campgrounds we’ve visited in our travels, this was by far the most peaceful and quiet! It is literally amongst corn fields and cattle, no light pollution from any cities. ( thus allowing us amazing Perseid meteor viewing and a rare Aurora event!). The sights were spacious and extremely well maintained. A beautiful pond for fishing and small boating, playground, corn hole, disk golf course, groomed trails. Wonderful staff. The only reasons I didn’t give it a full five rating is because there’s no sewer hookups (although there is a dump station and a honey wagon) and no swimming.
My friend and I always get together for a few days in June to celebrate our June birthdays and do the things we love which are hiking, geocaching and exploring. This year I found Country Charm and rented one of their cute little cottages. It had everything we needed. The cottage was perfectly clean when we arrived and the air conditioning worked well, which is good since it has been terribly hot the past several days. The only surprise was having to pay a quarter a minute to use the shower in the central facility. I would have stocked up on quarters if I had known about this. In spite of this, I highly recommend Country Charm Campground in Middlesex, New York.
Nicely shaded and kept up in the beautiful woods/countryside. Very nice friendly management. Large sites; mostly gravel and grass. Honey bucket service available as well as a dump station. Office and recreation room available.
