We stayed at the Loose Moose several years ago on a trip to the Finger Lakes before attending a family wedding in upstate NY. We returned to the Finger Lakes this month and spend two nights here before heading to Lake Erie and Buffalo to visit with family. It's a lovely 'log cabin" home with three guest rooms upstairs, all with private baths. It's a quiet spot surrounded by woods. I admit that Penn Yan doesn't have much going on, but it's a great place to stay if you plan to tour the Finger Lakes to visit the wineries, museums, Corning Glass, Watkins Glen, etc. The beds are very comfy and we slept well each night. The innkeepers are wonderfully friendly. In the evening we watched tv with them and Scout, the dog. Fresh chocolate chip cookies are always in the offing. This second stay had an added bonus - while enjoying a cup of coffee before breakfast we were treated to the sight of a flock of about two dozen wild turkeys in the yard. We look forward to visiting the Loose Moose Lodge again!

Thank you for the awesome review! We were so happy to get to visit with you again! Thanks for keeping us company in the evening and providing wonderful conversation! Those turkeys were quite a site! We haven’t seen them again yet, but the deer have been sited quite a bit! Have a great fall!

This B&B is the best ones we have stayed at! Jennine and Dennis are so friendly. I felt like we were sitting in my parents living room just hanging out. Great conversation was always welcome! The place is very clean. Jennine and Dennis were very knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of great recommendations. Breakfast was very delicious. We stayed two days and could not have been happier with our room and this B&B!

A lovely log cabin is wooded setting. The innkeepers Jennine and Dennis are extremely friendly and laid-back. They both made special efforts to accommodate my special GF diet, and are celiac-friendly. They even made GF baked goods. Another guest's nut-free diet was also accommodated. The food is homemade and delicious. Rooms are well-appointed, clean and air conditioned. The location is close to 2 Finger lakes and wine trails on both lakes. Highly recommend staying here.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Loose Moose for the weekend of my birthday and we absolutely loved it. It was a tranquil setting. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Jennine, Dennis, and Scout were so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I can't wait until we can go back again.

I love the Loose Moose, The rooms are exceptionally neat and clean. The owners are very friendly and accommodates your needs and your diet. The food is excellent. I've never been to a bed and breakfast where they cook what you want. I love the relaxed atmosphere and the peace and serenity of the location. I've stayed here many times and will continue to go back. I am so relaxing sharing and evening with Dennis and Jennine. This is by far the best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed at. The bed is so comfortable. They can always suggest places to go and provide good directions. I love the comfortable accommodations.
