We stayed on an unpowered site in peak season. After reading some of the reviews on here I was half expecting a disaster- it was fine. It's a huge park and therefore I can appreciate it being run quite strictly.

Our family camped here with a couple of other families in December and had a great time. At first when we arrived at the camping area we were concerned that the camping spaces were a lot smaller than we were used to. We were fortunate...เพิ่มเติม

Sorry can't really answer that as we stayed in an insight cabin.
I'm planning on taking the public bus from Hobart to visit for Freycinet and staying 3 nights. My question is I'm planning on doing day hikes in Freycinet (such as the famous Wineglass Bay). In order to get to the walking tracks trail heads, do I need to hire a taxi or is the trail head from the Big 4 walkable? If so, do you know the approximate distance?

If you stay here at Big4 Iluka on Freycinet you are only 4 kms away from the start of the Wineglass Bay walk, which should take 45 - 60 mins. Hope this is of assistance.
