Overall this hotel is pretty good. Like others have stated the views are great. Super close waking to Seaport Village and not too far of a drive to Sea World which is why we chose it. Pool is nice and while crowded, we found good...เพิ่มเติม
We joined my partner here who had been on a business trip and had been staying at the hotel all week. He had been attending a conference at the convention centre which it is really very close to - next door. We arrived for the...เพิ่มเติม
This hotel definitely caters to conferences, but that did not detract my family from having a great time. It is in a perfect location--adjacent to the trolley, walking distance to PETCO Park, and some great walking along the beautiful San Diego bay. The hotel is...เพิ่มเติม
We booked a bay view room with balcony and two double beds and it was a good size but unfortunately overlooked the construction site next door. Having travelled a long way from Scotland we were concerned that we would be wakened early but were told...เพิ่มเติม
Took our kids for first Family vacation to San Diego. We really had a great time. Close to the Zoo which we visited and they had a very nice pool. We came in on July 4th and actually got a seat at Hotel Restaurant over...เพิ่มเติม
Any good restaurants that are a must close by for a group of 8. Looking for breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

Or Banker Hill Restaurant for weekend brunch takes reservations. We went to Juniper & Ivy in Little Italy for dinner, it was great, make sure to make a reservation. Good luck!
Suite with balconies and views?
We have been planning our San Diego trip for the better part of a year and are very excited about our stay at the Marriott on April 5th - April 8th.
We have two young children, 5 and 8 months and are really hoping to upgrade to a suite. We already have paid for an upgrade to a bay view room but are hoping to upgrade to a suite with a balcony as well so my wife and I can actually hang out together while the kids sleep.
Though I'm a lifetime Marriott platinum, I understand this is a desirable property and availability will be limited.
Does anyone have any advice on how many suites are available and the realistic likelihood of upgrading to a suite with a balcony?

We went through this same thing when we were there in March. I booked the balcony room (make sure you ask for the North tower) then I booked a "discount" room with the intention of calling them a couple of days before to inquire about the possibility of an upgrade. When I called they said upgrades are very rare there. We ended up canceling the discounted room because we wanted that view! Go for the view. It is well worth it

I don't recall seeing any tennis courts on the property.
