I reserved two rooms via Booking, two days after this, a woman called me and said that there was a mistake, and that they have only one room available. At the time we were speaking there were at least 4 free rooms still available in Booking, which was very weird. Apparently, she either didn't care enough to call Booking and sort this out with them, or she was lying (no idea why). The lady assured me that there is only one room left. So we agreed that I want to keep this room while looking for another place that I can reserve for my friends. A couple of hours later, I called to once again confirm that I wish to keep this room, and to ask her why this room was posted again as available in the meantime (it wasn't when she initially called me, as apparently, it was reserved by me), she responded that they had a cancellation 10 minutes before I called, and that this is not my room. She refused to send me a new confirmation for this one room but assured me that we are not going to have any troubles with our reservation. I had totally forgotten about this, when one week later I received another call from the same woman and she told me "You have a reservation for two rooms, but it turns out that we don't have any. This is a mistake in Booking, they allowed you to book two rooms which were already booked". At this point I got really angry, as we had 20 days or so until our vacation, and there were literally 4 places left in Sinemoretz- two of them with horrible reviews, the other two- way too expensive. So I asked the woman how come she doesn't even remember that we have one room booked because of the last "mistake on Booking's end", and why she failed to see that there are no rooms available the last time we spoke, as well as what happened with the cancellation of one of the rooms which was available for booking the last time we spoke. She REFUSED to give me a normal answer to any of these questions, just repeated several times that I'm not the first with this problem, and I won't definitely be the last! What a way to handle your business, woman! At this point, I told her that in this case I will call Booking and will let them know that this place should be taken down of their platform, because the whole point of it is to book a place for your taste securely. She told me that I can't threaten her like this, that most of the things I'm saying are not correct, and that this is not her fault. She was extremely inadequate and rude, and obviously lying, as we all know how Booking works. So, I had to call Booking, they told me that cancellations are not under any circumstances handled in such a manner, that she should have called them before calling us, and that she should have informed us that if the only available places are more expensive, either she or Booking will have to compensate us by paying the difference between the new and the old price. To sum up - they also confirmed that she has been lying. Good news is, after two days and several 30-minutes long phone calls with Booking, we finally have a reservation. So yes - if you don't want an experience like this, definitely book another place when staying in Sinemoretz!…
