Pleasant enough. No toaster but microwave supplied. No crockery and only small teacups. 2 seater couch is grotty, everything else is clean and in good condition. Staff pleasant. Premises easy to find and good parking.
It was not the prefect time to travel during this pandemic, however, the friendly staff from this hotel made my business trip a very pleasant experience. The staff are wearing masks and the room has the light dis-infect smell, which made me feel much safer during my stay. The staff also spent quite some time explained the surrounding to me to help get around more easily. The only downside would be the limited opening hours of the reception, but it's understandable during the tough time for all businesses. Overall a great experience!
this place is trying to get people to commit fraud. i booked online for a room under my name and with my debit card only to be told when i arrived at the hotel that my brother was booked into the room. I showed that i have the booking on me with my name and my bank statement and the amount for the room taken out and said i never booked the room for him she turned the computer to me showing me that the room is in my brothers name.She wouldnt let me check in unless he shows his id. I then told her that my brother has stayed there before and that its a mistake in there system and hotels shouldnt be making those mistakes. My brother showed up at the hotel to tell her he wasnt staying there. I dont think that its right that i show the id of someone whos not staying in the room and i wasnt comfortable with staying at the hotel anymore and wanted a refund. I payed for the room for me using my debit card and they want someone else whos not staying at the hotel to show there id for me to stay there. I booked the room for a week and the manager refuses to give any money back as she said the booking was non refundable. i explained that if a hotel has a computer system that is saying that someone who booked there previously with the same last name is having to show there id for me to stay there that thats a good enough reason for me to get a refund. I even said that they can the money for a night and give the rest back but she wont give any back. Sounds like one big scam.…
Although a hiccup when we arrived (for our 4 night stay) was dealt with by staff in an extremely professional and friendly manner. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff. The room quite comfortable and restaurant, although limited menu, food delicious and great value. Will definitely stay here on our next visit to Melbourne.
Booked through booking.com Communication was very poor broken English and there was a misunderstanding of what the hotel staff were trying to explain via messages, perhaps first point of contact should be via phone. Put in 2 adults, 2 children and ages, showed that Queen Room sleeps 3x-adults, 1xchild (under 6) No where did it state additional charges for existing SINGLE sofa to be made in our booking Check in was all ok. On arrival into our room, it was small and older (photos are deceptive) we noted sofa not made and room set to 2 persons only. When queried the manager came up to our room and was extremely rude. Note once did she apologise for the misunderstanding, just flat out rude and abrupt. As I booked through booking.com I made a call to go over the booking details to see where the booking was wrong, it was confirmed it was a misunderstanding on our part from the poor English in the communication on messages. The operator said he would call the hotel to explain and see if they would assist to sort the situation. As soon as the call from booking.com ended the hotel manager called our room and started to abuse me for calling them. I had every right to call and check my booking. I was beyond frustrated by now and absolutely fuming. I walked out of my room to find her walking across the car yard telling her staff not to take the linen to our room to make up the sofa. We decided as a family to leave the establishment and check into the Ibis Hotel directly opposite - BEST THING WE DID!! The staff were lovely. The room spacious and CHEAPER! Oh and had the same room ‘configuration’ but with a single bed. We advised booking.com of our decision to leave due to the abuse received. They requested a refund from the hotel but it was refused. We kept the room key and thought best for my husband to sleep there on our final night to get a good nights sleep before a long drive home. This was a huge mistake! The bed was hard, the aircon noisy and the shower leaked. We sure dodged a bullet by not staying here!!!!…
