Kwamen hier op de fiets langs en dit cultureel centrum bleek tevens een hotel te zijn. Eigenlijk hadden wij een ander hotel op ons lijstje maar wij bespreken nooit een kamer en konden daardoor makkelijk veranderen. Wij betaalden in dec. 2014 750 thb. per nacht en dat was inclusief ontbijt, wat niet veel voorstelde, de tweede ochtend hebben wij daar maar geen gebruik van gemaakt en zelf ons ontbijt verzorgd. De kamer, op de zesde vloer, was ruim met een mooi uitzicht vanaf het aanwezige balkon en dat allemaal in een fantastisch gebouw. De bedden waren goed genoeg en niet te hard. De wifi in de kamer was ook perfect. Badkamer was redelijk. Het personeel was zeer behulpzaam, spraken Engels en boden direct een plaats aan om onze fietsen veilig te parkeren. televisie op de kamer had alleen Thaise zenders
This place is an excellent place to visit to get first-hand information on Ubon and Isaan culture. It is a museum, which has been helpful for us as we prepare to move and settle in Ubon. A must to visit for all visitors to Ubon, and it is fee entry.
Thanks to the first review, I recognised the impressive building as a hotel. The Thai co-travellers were very doubtfull: they thought I was asking to go sleep in a provincial town hall. There was plenty of choice of rooms, at all sides. No noise, clean rooms with carpet floors. 600 baht, free WiFi and including limited breakfast. ( Thai/Asian or western style )Bathroom with closed shower with water heater, clean towels and amnities. The lay out of the bath room could have be done better. Bell boys were surprised to get a tip to bring the suitcases to the rooms. Satellite TV so so, but BBC world available. Large parking area, 100 meters away from the movie theatre, 7/11 and the central lane just around the corner. Just across the hotel there is every evening a night market ( on the ground floor of the OTOP center ) . You order food at one of the +- 20 food stalls and can sit where ever you want. T-bone + fries? 99 baht. There was a free dance performance of 2 hours during our stay. The place is well known by decent Thai people who want to avoid the places with disco, massage etcetera. During our stay, a large part of the rooms was occupied because of a wedding party next door , whose guests would not go home after the wedding. 1 remark: I am not sure if the lobby is reachable by wheel chair users. We had to climb some stairs to the front door. Maybe there is another entrance as well. I can recommend the place and would stay here again.
This is not a normal hotel with a bar and pool. In fact, it does not have it. Also the restaurant is rather limited. Nevertheless it is a good hotel with well maintained rooms on 4 star level. So far the only hotel that I can recommend in nort-east Thailand.
