Heerlijk hotel! Ligging was perfect, lekker zwembad en meteen aan het strand. Klein plaatsje, paar winkels en restaurants in de buurt. Kamer was ruim, leuk ingericht, goed bed en mooie badkamer. Ontbijt was voldoende keuze. Vriendelijke staff

The Royal Yao Yai is situated perfect towards west and a very nice beach. A nice open garden is the center of the hotel, where you also find a very nice pool, perfect for doing the lanes daily. The people are all super friendly. The kitchen however, can be improved. But it does not matter a lot, as you can easily go 25 meters along the beach and dine cheap, effective and with delicious food at Mama´s, a local Muslim outlet. Also superfreindly, and the food perfect.

Beautiful location with a long sandy beach. Rooms very comfortable. Breakfast was not very good, the staff did not know how to handle a fully booked hotel. And they did not care much for their guests. Not enough sunbeds. Was very difficult to get one. The pool was not clean.

We were a big family,that just had our Christmas and new year in this Hotel on the island of Koh Yao Yai. The hotel is very nice and comfortable. The rooms are nice and big. The bed is specially nice. The pool is nice. The hotel is located directly on a clean and wonderful beach. Great location for swimming, kayaking etc. But you can not se any fish I you want to snorkel there. But you can go to other places on the island by scooter to snorkel. The reception is working with great level of service and efficiency, always with a smile. The breakfast is good, however it was obvious that the waiting staff was overwhelmed at it was first time with full hotel, so the service staff still need some systematic and training to handle the peak of breakfast, especially when it comes to remove used service from the tables. They try but they need more staff and education. The staff in the kitchen, and the supply of freshly made delicious breakfast dishes seems to be perfectly working the only small issue is in restaurant. The tables are slowly being cleaned and you may experience a small waiting time to get a clean and laid table at breakfast, cups and plates and so on. At lunch you must expect a long waiting time also. The other meals we only tried twice times dinner which was good, but there are some small restaurants near by if you want to try other local food, which clearly is recommendable over European. The food on Christmas and new years evening were good. But all in all. I will give the hotel a very good evaluation and will for sure be back if I get the chance.…

1. Check in statt um 14 Uhr erst drei Stunden später möglich. 2. Problem Bettwanzen: Wir hatten 6 Nächte gebucht, nach der zweiten Nacht waren die Bisse deutlich zu sehen. Die Reaktion an der Rezeption war gleich Null. Erst nach Diskussionen wurde uns für die dritte Nacht ein Ersatzzimmet unterhalb der Buchungskategorie angeboten, hier war die Dusche defekt. 3. Strandliegen stehen nur zur Verfügung, wenn man diese vor 6 Uhr reserviert. 4. Service und Fruehstuecksbuffet eher unterdurchschnittlich.
