Where do i start? Yes this hotel is probably one of the most expensive hotels in Ireland. But after spending 3 nights there it is worth every single penny.

April weather was cool, I must think of moving my birthday!
Staff numbers are now large but all were charming from front steps reception to departure.
Chef is doing a great job, but I preferred the a la carte to the tasting menu personaly.
Our stay at Ballyfin Demesne was exceptional. The grand home and its comforts, amenities and services were superlative. There were wonderful places to explore on the property, and the service from staff was very attentive. We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners at Ballyfin, and they were...เพิ่มเติม

Hi, I haven't done it myself but I am from the vicinity. The train from Dublin takes approx 1 hour. You can book your train seats in advance via Iarnoid Eireann. The taxi drive from Portlaoise station takes a maximum of 15 minutes. I'm sure if you call Ballyfin in advance and let them know what time your train arrives that they will gladly send a car for you. Enjoy your stay there, I hear it's out of this world. Hope this helps!
Wouldn't it be lovely if the aviary were used to house birds that can no longer be free due to past injury. I rehabilitate wildlife here in the States and sometimes an owl or songbird has such a badly injured wing, etc. it can't fend for itself in the wild, but can live quite nicely in captivity. Seems a nice fit since Ballyfin pays such care to wildlife and has a particular interest in falconry.
