Nice hotel and great staff. Always smiling. Room was very clean. During breakfast which was very good I asked for a coffee refill. I was informed there was an additional charge. I refused. It took the wow out of staying in this hotel. I won’t be back.
We were a bit uncertain that the White Wall Riverfront was even functioning after Covid, but a call to the hotel assured us it was and we would be very happy to stay there. They apologized that their restaurant was not yet operating at this time for dinner. When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was that the namesake "white wall" and hotel sign were badly in need of paint. Unfortunately, this portended the rest of the facilities, as we found various things that needed repair in the room (towel holder, h) White Wall River Resort: friendly staff and check in; beautiful location overlooking river; room spacious with high ceilings, some things needing repair (e.g., towel holders, holder for shower attachment). The TV had no English channels (at least that we could find);. Check-in was very friendly, but the staff forgot to tell us the wifi password, so we had to return to the front desk to request it. One of the two complimentary bottles of water in the ref was empty. Overall, the room was nice, with high ceilings and the bed was comfortable. But, the arrangement of the shower and toilet, with a shared sliding door seemed rather weird. By far the best part of the place was the fabulous view out over the Ping River. Although the restaurant was closed, they told us we could order breakfast for two for a "special price" of 390 baht, which we did. But, it was quite disappointing as the eggs were fried in odd-tasting margarine, the sausages were cheap chicken franks, the toast was also spread with margarine rather than butte, etc. Overall, the place was quite OK, but we felt it was really in need of some loving maintenance and upgrading, and improved breakfast. Currently, it seems overpriced for what you get.
A one night stopover en route to Chiang Mai, and a really good one. We went for the best two rooms (exec) in the property and it was a good choice. Plenty of space and facilities clean and decent. Evening meal really good from a limited menu, breakfast just odd - club sandwich for breakfast with no other option, but actually quite tasty. Not a place for a vegetarian. Some ants in the room, but other than that all good, and a great place to visit the hidden gem that is Kamphaeng Phet historical park. Owners dogs cute.....
The way the staff welcomed us, the hotel, the room (big!!!), the breakfast (wow, delicious and healthy), the lunch, the bed, the views, this place really was a great stopover for us. We stayed 3 nights in this place and it was money and time well spend. The bar is slightly over priced but the food is very good!
There is a cool place next door for a nice meal as well, much cheaper. The nightmarket in town (recommended) is a must do. You need a car to get there..
Did I mention the kind staff already?? They made us a goodnight tea on the first night, as a welcome gift and brought it to the room.
Would come back here if we could. The hotel is ‘relaxation’ all over!
