The family that is running Purple Inn are young escapists that live their dream of tranquility in the middle of nowhere. For hikers the location between Kaleücagiz and Bogazcik is good but I would recommend to have food with them but continue the hike to Bogazcik or Kaleücagiz and avoid to stay at Purple Inn. The family is very nice and live their dream in this old stone house. They produce all their energy themselves and live of rain water. This sustainable lifestyle and their proximity to nature is inspirinsg. Moreover, they make amazing food which we can definitely recommend! However, the simplicity was too much for our taste - especially given the price of 160 TL (=40€) per night. Hornets were coming into the toilet and into the shower because there was no real door to them. During the nights a number of wild boars and porcupines come into the garden - so you cannot go the the toilet which is located outside the building. The roosters attack everyone in the garden and it is difficult to flee them without running into one of the cactus everywhere. Moreover, there is no electricity in the rooms (not even a light bulb). We found it inspiring how they live their dream at this beautiful place of nature - we would, however, not choose to stay there again.…
While walking the Lycian Way in October 2015 I hit this place after a long walk from Kas. Fantastic spot with minimal amenities in room but they have beer and make a great dinner and it's a nice place to meet others on the walk. The rooms I don't believe have any electricity but the bed was quite comfortable and surrounded by a bug net that I am sure helped my rest. Very nice people running it. This is by no means a 5 star but if you are on the Way then it's a perfect place to stop before the next leg to Demre.
This is camping area and pension for the Lycian Trail hikers. You can reach to the purple house by hiking almost 2 hours from Ucagiz-Kekova. There is no vehicle road. or you can rent a fisherman boat from Kekova. There is shower inside and breakfast-lunch-dinner is served, any cold drinks etc. Family organization. Prices are not huge. April 2016, setting your tent was 10 TRY (includes all restroom and shower usages), beatifull breakfast was 25 TRY. Limited electric is produced by sun panels and the owner is charging the batteries in his cabinne.
